What is an ACEO?
ACEO stands for Art Cards Editions and Originals. It is a small piece of art measuring 2.5 inches by 3.5 inches, the size of a standard trading card.
Are they all the same?
No, but sort of yes. All of my cards are originals, created by hand in small batches by me. Some are block prints, some are watercolor, and some are a combination of the two. And while there are many of my cards that are similar, no two are exactly the same.
How many cards are you making?
A lot. Hundreds and maybe even thousands. And each unique card is individually hand numbered in one continuous sequence. You can glance the counter at the top of the page to see how many are out in the world right now.
What other cards are you creating?
I have ideas for quite a few other cards, including a couple special designs to hand out at conventions, festivals, and special events.
Where can someone find these cards?
Everywhere! I keep cards with me and put them in every place possible for people to find. Along a heavily travelled sidewalk, at the bus stop, at the airport, in the mall, walking around conventions. Everywhere I go I am looking for places to hide my art for someone to find and hopefully enjoy.
But where can I find one?
If you live in the Philadelphia area, particularly Bucks County, keep a lookout for special places a small envelope might fit. Or, if you can’t find one in the wild, here’s a clue telling you how to get one.
What’s the best way to keep up with this project?
The best way to follow along with this project, and to learn more about me and my art, is to follow me on Instagram.
What should I do if I found an art card?
Keep it, add it to your collection, share it on Instagram, gift it to a friend…you can do anything you want with it, but I hope it brings you joy.
